Study on the Correlation between Air Pollution and Respiratory Diseases in Linfen City

Abstract： According to the AQI index in the air quality data in Lin Fen，Shan Xi from 2014-2017 and questionnaire from the countryside of Lin Fen--Yao Miao，Dong Zhao and Xi Zhao，the characteristics of respiratory disease and AQI index were analyzed for the season relevance. We arrived at several conclusions.First of all， air pollution of Lin Fen is very serious especially in Spring，Autumn and Winter，whose AQI index beyond Summer. Therefore， there is a phenomenon that increasingly people go to hospitals to see doctors in Spring，Autumn and Winter.Besides，the senior citizens over 60 reach a high proportion of all who get respiratory disease.Furthermore， the chances of the man getting this kind of disease is nearly double to women.Then we usedSpss to analyze whether the pollution index is relevant to the number of having respiratory disease. The result showedthat they are high relevant each other in the size of season and year. IBM Spss.21 automatically reveals that Seasonal Correlation coefficient of both is 0.985，which is so marked. But Correlation coefficient of year is -0.984，which reveals that both have nothing relevant. The results indicated tahtair pollution will not have an immediate effect to our health. As time going by，the effect to our physical health will come out.
